Consistent Success

A hallmark of the Academy has been the consistency of its examination results over recent years.

For the nine years, the Academy’s students have had an average success rate of over 85 per cent and above in State and Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) exams. Last year again two students were awarded highest achievers awards from the RIAM.

In addition, the Academy often achieves awards of distinction and indeed Feis Ceoil wins at the prestigious RDS Feis Ceoil. (One of the oldest competitions in Europe and highly respected internationally.)

The consistent pattern of success can be attributed to the Academy’s distinct approach to teaching music which emphasises the individual student and nourishes his or her particular abilities.

The Academy is not all about examination success rather it is a place to enjoy music in the way the world would like to enjoy it. Many students, for example, are fulfilling their dream of singing or playing an instrument to an acceptable standard, often with inspiring outcomes.
